Is-sinjal għall- ĠIMGĦA L-KBIRA għandha żewġ partijiet. (i) L-ewwel isir is-sinjal għal IL-ĠIMGĦA, l-isem tal-jum. Dan isir b’id waħda forma ta’ ponn bis-saba’ l-kbir maħruġ ’il barra u mgħawweġ u bil-pala tħares ’il ġewwa. L-id tinżel minn wieqfa fil-ġenb livell mal-għonq djagonalment ‘l isfel sakemm tasal fin-nofs. (ii) Imbagħad isir is-sinjal għal KBIR(A). L-idejn jieħdu l-forma ta’ 5 bis-swaba’ mifrudin u jimxu lura min-nofs għall-ġnub bil-pala ta’ id tħares lejn l-oħra.
The sign for GOOD FRIDAY has two parts. (i) First the sign for FRIDAY is made with one hand in the shape of a fist with the thumb extended and bent and palm facing inwards. The hand moves from an upright position at the side at neck level diagonally downwards to the middle. (ii) The second part is the sign for BIG. Both hands take the shape of 5 with fingers apart and move backwards from the middle to the sides with palms facing each other.
